Budapest Noir hits Cinemas in Hungary on November 2nd!

Zsigmond Gordon, a disillusioned crime reporter is investigating the brutal murder of a young woman in the 1930s Budapest. As the case unravels it seems it is in no ones true interest to uncover the truth.

 

 

Budapest Noir was adapted to screen from the bestselling novel of Vilmos Kondor by Andras Szekér ( The Notebook), with cinematography by Elemér Ragályi ( 1945, The Door,  Jacob the Liar), Budapest in the thirties brought to life by Pater Sparrow (The Duke of Burgundy, 1 ), and costume design by Andrea Flesch (Colette, The Childhood of a Leader, The Duke of Burgundy).

Produced by Pioneer Pictures with Ildiko Kemeny as lead producer, Budapest Noir is the first Hungarian feature film for Pioneer Pictures known for it’s work on international hits like Red Sparrow, ColetteAtomic Blonde and Don’t Breathe.  The film will hit cinemas nation wide in Hungary on the 2nd of November, 2017 and is distributed by Big Bang Media.
