Dune: Part three – Teaser Trailer revealed

Warner Bros released stills of nine characters from the movie teasing the “epic conclusion” and several new cast members, including Pattinson; Jason Momoa, returning as the reincarnated Duncan Idaho; and the previously unannounced Isaach de Bankolé as the Fremen leader Farok.

Members of the press were treated to an early preview of the “Dune: Part Three” trailer with Villeneuve and his cast on hand to discuss the upcoming film.

“It happens many years later. It’s a very different movie from the two first ones. I said to myself, ‘It’s a good idea to go [and] come back to this world, not by nostalgia, but by urgency.’ And to go there with a critical eye and not to be self-indulgent. And I said to my team that it will be a very different film, very different, a new movie, but with a different tone, with a different rhythm, with a different pace.”

“‘Dune Messiah’ is a book that is by far probably my favorite book of the series. It’s a very dark book, a beautiful book,” he said. “I will say this, it is one of my most personal films, if not my most personal film. So it’s a film that is very close to me and very contemporary.”

Dune is Legendary’s expansive, multi-format sci-fi universe based on Frank Herbert’s Hugo Award-winning novel series. The collection has included two feature films, 2021’s Dune: Part One and last year’s Dune: Part Two, which earned a combined $1.12 billion at the global box office and won eight Oscars from 15 nominations, including Best Picture noms for both.

The universe’s most recent entry is prequel TV series Dune: Prophecy, from Lost writer-producer Alison Schapker and set 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides. The series premiered on HBO and Max in November.
